Dr. Pradeep Kumar is a Double Board Certified in Psychiatry (the highest certification in the field of general psychiatry provided by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology) as well as Addiction Medicine. He has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, India and has done three years of post-graduate studies specializing adult psychiatry from St Vincent Catholic Medical Center of New York an affiliate of New York Medical College and two years of studies in child and adolescent psychiatry at Long Island Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY, an affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Ahmed Sheikh was born and raised in New York and is now a Texan transplant. He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA and went on to complete a family medicine residency at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. He is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Sheikh achieved osteopathic distinction during his residency and went on to complete an acupuncture course for physicians through Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Sheikh has the unique ability to combine the principles of osteopathic manipulative therapy with acupuncture to optimize the body’s own healing potential. He works with patients to develop realistic plans to improve their own health and maintain it. His family medicine and primary care training also provides another dimension of care. Often times, his treatment plans involve a symbiotic partnership between two or more modalities that get people feeling better faster.
